2026 ANNUAL CONFERENCE – THE SAGAMORE HOTEL RESORT, LAKE GEORGE

INVITATION TO REGISTER AND ATTEND 2026 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

It is my pleasure to invite you to NYSCMA’s annual conference and training program scheduled for Wednesday, Wednesday May 6th through Friday, May 8th, 2025 at the Sagamore Resort Hotel in Bolton Landing (Lake George), New York. Lakeside destination on a 70-acre island on Lake George in the Adirondacks. Open since 1883, the Sagamore features 375 rooms, including lakeside lodges and Victorian era hotel rooms with an 18-hole golf course and spa. The Sagamore is an ideal venue for a memorable and productive conference experience.

Executive Director Charles Strome is working with Ian Coyle to develop the educational training programs which are informed by the 2025/2026 membership surveys, discussions with Executive Board members and professional outreach efforts to attract quality speakers on subject matters relevant to our membership. I am happy to report that increased sponsorships will continue to allow the best possible program. The tentative program includes a keynote address featuring Traci Brown, a body language expert. Other program topics include Social Media, AI, Leadership, Human Resources and other topics of interest.

While training is important, the overreaching benefits of the annual conference are the opportunities provided to connect and network with municipal officials and vendor sponsors throughout New York State. Developing and strengthening these professional relationships through the exchange of ideas, best practices, and expertise, not only enrich us professionally, but benefit the municipalities we serve. Social events planned include an opening night reception at the Sagamore and a private Thursday evening cocktail hour and dinner aboard the Sagamore’s boat for an exciting tour of Lake George.

Attached, please find the 2026 Annual Conference Registration Form including the Sagamore Hotel Resort registration information. Attendees should reserve their accommodations directly with the Sagamore Hotel by calling the Front Desk or using the online reservation system. Further details are included on the Conference Registration form. Please make sure to register for the conference and make your hotel reservations as soon as possible to ensure the Conference rate. The Sagamore Hotel Resort also requires proof of tax-exempt status relative to hotel room payments. Use of a municipal credit card or check is recommended.
